Florence’s 15th annual River to River Florence Indian Film Festival is turning to the public for help in meeting the costs of important ‘extras,’ like bringing a special guest from India.

The festival, which this year runs from December 5 to 10 at Cinema Odeon, features documentaries, Bollywood films, short films and video art.

The crowdfunding campaign, which started on September 7 on Indiegogo, seeks to raise 15,000 euro by November 5. To contribute, go to igg.me/at/R2RFIFF2015.

In addition, the festival is holding two fundraising events: on September 24, enjoy an Indian-themed aperitivo with lounge music at Serre Torrigiani in via dei Serragli; or dance the night away Bollywood style (details TBA). For the festival programme, see www.rivertoriver.it/en.
