A plan has been presented by regional officials to optimise the airports of Tuscany. If accepted, Pisa Airport would become the hub for intercontinental flights, Florence for business, and Siena and Grosseto Airports improved and enlarged. Major works have already begun on Florence’s Peretola Airport, which is set to be closed for construction for three months.
