World renowned Florentine film director Franco Zeffirelli was the guest of honour last week at the events celebrating the closing of the academic year for students at the Accademia Italiana.
The event titled, “Cinema, moda & design”, was a grand display of the works created by students at the academy. The exhibition of student works at the Sachall theatre was only part of the day’s events, which also included a fashion show and a discussion by Zeffirelli himself.
The Accademia is an important Italian fashion school with schools in both Florence and Rome. It also has a joint program with Arcadia University in the United States.
