Juventus won it’s 28th Italian championship title last Saturday. From the beginning of the season, Juventus had maintained a top spot in the classifications, threatened only by AC Milan, who, in the final two matches, seemingly decided to save their energy for the European-wide Champions League Finals.

Although Juventus only needed one point to win the entire championship before the match against Livorno on Sunday, it had to play a tough game to earn it. Livorno played incredibly well against the championship hopefuls, with a well-united team that boasts one of the league’s best scorers, Cristiano Lucarelli.

Although it was once again the players who brought the title to Turin, Coach Capello must also be recognised as the charismatic personality who always knew how to manage the most difficult situations, keeping potentially volatile problems at bay, as well as bringing out the best in all of the team’s players.
