A quick post-run analysis

A total of 33 runners went through the start gate. Just one did not finish, choosing the safer option of avoiding aggravating an existing injury and joined the #RunForMeyer supporters, who were excessively noisy and cheered everyone along the course, at the 21st kilometre. The runners made their way over the finish line, with a total of five personal bests and one birthday celebration—it was the first marathon for four of those runners. Collectively, the #RunForMeyer runners clocked up 1,371.24 kilometres together.

The Florentine is a proud sponsor of #RunForMeyer thanks to the dedication and hard work of long-term columnist Suzi Jenkins.
