Prato-based photographer Alessandro Moggi has been photographing all his adult life. Recently, he had the opportunity to travel to Burma with the American photographer Steve McCurry, considered one of the most iconic voices in contemporary photography. The results of this trip, in photos and a short, amusing documentary, will be presented in an exhibition that opens on April 11 at Galleria Lato in Prato (piazza San Marco 13).

Moggi speaks fondly of the lessons learned from McCurry: ‘A reflex around your neck at the crack of dawn, the fantastic stories that Steve tells, a swift pace and the concentration that he has that allows him to synthesize the spirit of a place and its history in an image, with the right composition and a great passion for colour.’

The opening will be held Friday April 11 2014 at 5:30pm, while the exhibition will be open until May 30 weekdays from 3 to 7pm and is free.
