Rome’s
Stadio Olimpico is the stage for three of this year’s Six Nations rugby union
championship matches. After taking on France on February 3, the Azzurri next
host defending champions Wales on February 23, before opposing the Irish
national team on March 16, coinciding with St. Patrick’s weekend.

As
of last year, when the 11-year association with the Flaminio Stadium came to an
end, all of Italy’s home matches in the Six Nations are played at the
72,000-capacity Stadio Olimpico, home stadium of Serie A clubs AS Roma and
Lazio.

Some
rugby fans had hoped the tournament would come to Florence’s 48,000-seat
Artemio Franchi Stadium, but the Federazione Italiana Rugby decided that the
championship should remain in the capital.

Tickets
to the three Six Nations matches can be purchased through the LISticket Call
Center at www.listicket.it
