From June 21, the Accademia Gallery will be extending its opening hours from 8.15am to 6.50pm.
While remaining closed on Monday, the world-famous museum is also adding Tuesday night opening until 10pm throughout the summer, which means that visitors will be able to spend an evening with Michelangelo’s David and the other outstanding artworks in the newly illuminated rooms.
In other news from the Accademia Gallery, the duration of The Bronze Effigy of Michelangelo by Daniele da Volterra exhibition has been extended until July 31.
