On January
22, in a bar near Pisa’s train station, a Spanish family on holiday was charged
nearly 26 euro for three cappuccinos and three croissants. Paying without any
complaint, they left the bar and took the receipt directly to the municipal
police. Upon discovering that the bar did not post a price list, as required,
and that similar incidents had happened there before, the police fined the bar
owner 1,000 euro.
