arugula, tomatoes, beans, zucchini and cabbage-grown on the roof. A
condominium in Turin’s San Salvario neighbourhood is the first in
the city to feature a rooftop vegetable garden where residents can
grow their own organic foods. Located on via Goito, the novel rooftop
garden has given rise to a workshop, Our Secret Garden, where locals
can learn and get advice on starting their own rooftop gardens. Three
young architects had the winning idea, locating the garden-laboratory
on top of a three-story building from the 1800s.
