The biennale of creative videos organized by the popular video-sharing platform YouTube and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation has announced the shortlist of films that will compete for the YouTube Play prize. Selected from more than 23,000 submissions from 91 countries, the 125 shortlisted videos, among them the only Italian film chosen, Giuseppe Peronace’s film L’amante, can be seen on the YouTube Play channel, www.youtube.com/play. The jury’s top choices will be presented on October 21 at a special YouTube Play celebration event at the Guggenheim Museum. The winning videos will be screened in Guggenheim museums in New York, Venice, Berlin and Bilbao.
