Book Art and Other Gardens

This edition, conceived and created by Calliope Arts, with The Florentine, is published in conjunction with the exhibition Elena Salvini Pierallini: Book Art and Other Gardens at Il Palmerino Cultural Association (12 June to 21 September 2026), co-curated by Giovanna Giusti and Beatrice and Sibilla Pierallini. The show is organised as part of ‘The Garden Project’ sponsored by Il Palmerino Cultural Association and Calliope Arts Foundation, in collaboration with the British Institute of Florence. This exhibition and its related events also form part of the Estate Fiorentina initiative, thanks to support from the Municipality of Florence.

We’d like to thank the project’s partner institutions: Medici Villa La Quiete and the Sistema Museale di Ateneo (University of Florence), New York University’s Villa La Pietra, MAD Murate Art District, the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno di Firenze, the Florence State Archive, the Alessandra Contini Bonacossi Archive for the Memory and Writing of Women, and the Elena Salvini Pierallini Archive, with media partners The Florentine and Restoration Conversations.
