Celebrate British culture
at this exciting new event featuring music, art, fashion, cars, local history
and much more. Five of the best British-inspired bands will perform on the main
stage-Vox Power Beatles tribute band, Robbie Williams tribute band, Queenmania,
Rent and Her-while the Florence International Theatre Company will perform Betrayal by Harold Pinter. Off the main stage, a number of British clothing and
paraphernalia stands will be set up in typical ‘Camden Town’ style. Writers,
journalists, opinion makers and enthusiasts will take part in an open
roundtable and two motor exhibitions will be on display-a collection of vintage
Minis from the Miniemotomaniaci Club Firenze and a selection of Lambrettas
British Custom from the Lambretta Club Firenze. Britmania supports the
restoration of the English cemetery and has invited Julia Holloway to present
her impressive research, portraits, documents, stories of the historical cemetery
of Piazzale Donatello. The party goes on until midnight at Saschall and will
continue with an after-party at Michael Collins Pub in Piazza della Signoria
with an explosive Brit-karaoke session. A free, roundtrip shuttle service from
Piazza San Firenze to Saschall will be available during the evening. For more
