The Tuscan town inaugurated a new centre for contemporary art on May 9 with an exhibition focused on Italian futurist painter Giacomo Balla and Russia-born artist Wassily Kandinsky. Called the Lucca Centre for Contemporary Art (LuCCA), the 1000m2 multifunctional centre located in Palazzo Boccella will host temporary exhibits and features a reading room, book store, cafeteria and a nursery where visitors can leave their children while viewing the exhibits.
