Grand Duke Ferdinando I, one of the eminent figures of
the Medici dynasty, is commemorated in an exhibition named after his personal
motto, Maiestate tantum. The exhibition concentrates on two emblematic events:
his marriage to Christina of Lorraine and the commission of the altar in the
family’s mausoleum, the Princes’ Chapel.
