This just in from the MiBAC: State museums in Italy will be opening on December 25, 2011 and January 1, 2011 – holiday days on which the museums are traditionally closed, as we announced in our last issue in fact.
As a special gift, participating museums and archaeological sites will also be free to enter. The Uffizi Gallery is not going to be open, although on January 1st the exhibit ‘i mai visti’ at the Salone delle Reali Poste will be open, free, from 1:30pm to 7:30pm.
