What do the Archbishop of Florence Cardinal Giuseppe Betori, Fondazione Angeli del Bello, the president of the Muslim community of Tuscany Elzir Izzeddin, the head rabbi of Florence’s Jewish community Joseph Levi, and the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno have in common? On June 24, the feast day of Florence’s patron saint, these organizations and individuals were awarded with the city’s highest accolade for civic commitment, the fiorino d’oro (golden florin), by mayor Dario Nardella.
