Florence Dance For Kids – A Thon

Fundraising event for Cancer research

 

An afternoon of dancing, music, games and colours organised by ISI Florence, Comune di Firenze and Milano 25 Onlus-Zia Caterina supporting children’s cancer research starring Zia Caterina and students from PennState in the USA. The fundraising event organized by the American study abroad students living in Florence supports children’s cancer research and related educational projects with an online donating system and donation collection points on site. This fundraising event, in its first edition, will consist of an afternoon with dance, music, entertainment, games, organized for families and children at kindergarten and elementary level. A requested minimum donation of 5 euro will grant you entry to the event, as well as giving you a gift of a drawstring backpack with a bracelet, colours, a colouring book and paper toys. 3 days of talks and events about the future of cities

 

 

Third edition of ‘Many Possible Cities’, a festival around the theme of urban regeneration with 3 days of talks, workshops and exhibitions exploring ideas that look at art, design, and green thinking. Events focus on the latest ideas and concepts around the future of cities, and how to make them a reality. More than twenty international guests will speak about the challenges of urban regeneration and their vision for its future, speaking about their own experiences and offering real-world examples of how diversity can drive transformation for the city of the future. The Perception of Architecture

 

 

The first edition of the project sees three days of films, meetings, guided tours and events, all with an architectural-angle take place around the city. Reflecting on architecture in daily life, highlights of the packed program include “The architect’s flight” (6.30pm February 21 at the French Institute), dialogues on “The perception of architecture and the places of stories” (7.30pm February 22 at the La Compagnia cinema) and a guided itinerary of cinema and architecture starting from the Palazzina Reale in piazza Stazione (3pm, February 21). Get ready to see insects, dust particles and plants in a whole new light in this immersive art project.
