Opening a business always involves a leap of faith, but particularly so in the midst of a global pandemic. Over the course of summer 2020, meeting rooms were exchanged for Zoom and in-person communication was replaced by online platforms, and yet TYPIQO managed to emerge from this set-up. The online quality grocery delivery service was co-founded by Antonio Badalamenti in Florence, his brother Alessandro in Sydney, and a third founder in Barcelona.

Their respective expertise creates the perfect team: young chef Antonio worked in world-class restaurants of the highest level, and used his knowledge to expand the range by hand-picking 60 producers, 30 product categories and over 600 products. Alessandro trained in the world of ecommerce as Head of Operations in various international companies. Their talents are united in their mission, which is to “change shopping habits”.

Despite the tricky times in which it was established, the online business has gone from strength to strength, driven by their skillful selection of quality products, and the combination of this with their unique delivery methods in Florence.

There are over 22 delivery times from which to choose from, with the added bonus of free delivery for all orders over 50 euros.

Delivery is available from Monday to Saturday, with next day delivery when you order by 8pm. The behind the scenes team comes from diverse experience in various aspects of the sector, blending a sense of business know-how with a flare for great food.

Quality and traditional produce presents the best that the regions of Italy have to offer, as well as a sprinkling of international products for those in search of something from someplace else.

Whether it’s their cheeses, biscuits, pasta or sauces, you can be assured that time and consideration has gone into every morsel.

Head to www.typiqo.it, place your order, pay by credit card, and choose your delivery time slot. Free delivery for orders over 50 euro; 2.95 euro charge for smaller orders. Delivery in the Florence metropolitan area.
