The project by the Uffizi Galleries and Fondazione CR Firenze, Terre degli Uffizi (Lands of the Uffizi), welcomes eight new exhibitions: Reggello, Arezzo, San Giovanni Valdarno, San Casciano and San Piero a Sieve join Anghiari, Montespertoli, Poppi in the art show series that promotes the region’s heritage.
The displays take place throughout 2022 in the second edition of the project that promotes and unites the territory’s rich artistic heritage.
The project aims to decentralize visitor flows and increase local tourism through collaborations with museums outside of the main artistic cities. Results from the first edition illustrate the project’s success: an average increase of 16% was reported in visitors to museums in Poppi (+18%), Anghiari (+14%) and Castiglion Fiorentino (+18%), compared to the same period of the previous year, with 83% responding that it was their first visit to the museum.
