From free cinema to a newly inaugurated pump track, Manifattura Tabacchi is offering something for everyone this season.
Non solo cinema in Manifattura
From July 26 to August 27, free-entry cinema returns to Manifattura Tabacchi every evening at 9.15pm with a fascinating film series curated by Fondazione Stensen.
The opening night sees guest Frankie hi-nrg mc, with artist MR.G performing a live painting at the preview of the film Rheingold by Ftih Akin, the true story of a German rapper of Kurdish origins. For an even more immersive experience, grab a pair of headphones and enjoy the selection that varies from blockbusters to new discoveries and daring documentaries. Check out the full programme.
Exhibiting exhibition
On display until September 3, the free admission display explores the connection between the site and the production of contemporary art, with a showcase of works built in dialogue with the architecture. Some works are by artists from the three cycles of artist residencies, with Cura (Care), Meraviglia (Wonder) and Armonia (Harmony) the thematic words used to inspire young artists with their practices.
Pump track
Dunes, bumps and bends make up the new pump track located in the B1 building. Evolve, the new 36-metre pump track for bikers, skaters and rollerbladers, was launched on July 21 and is open to the public every weekend until August 6, with free admission.
Qualified staff from the National School of Mountain Bike Instructors are on hand to get you going, with families, friends, amateurs and enthusiasts all welcome.
Fri (3-9pm), Sat and Sun (10am-1pm and 5-8pm).
Associations have access Mon-Thurs.
