Villa Vittoria reopens on May 4 for a summer of street food, style and culture. Located between Florence’s Santa Maria Novella train station and the Fortezza da Basso conference centre, Villa Vittoria has quickly become a hotspot for summer nights in Florence. 2023 is no different as the popular hangout returns for a fifth summer of Florentine fun.

Street food station and stylish drinks

Hang out for happy hour as the gates open at 7pm sipping your favourite aperitivo and diving into some of the finest street food in town. Savour a grazing board of Tuscan meats and cheese from Beppa Fioraia, opt for Mexican morsels from MAEEZ, indulge in a juicy burger from 180grammi or bolt down mozzarella and more from Ti Stuzzico. Dinners at Villa Vittoria will benefit from a new laidback format, served at leisure in the on-site gazebos with a selection of antipasti and pizza by the metre curated by Lo Scalco. A favourite among frequenters of Villa Vittoria, shisha is back too with new flavours.

Summer-long entertainment

It’s not just about food and drink at this summer hangout par excellence. Live shows, DJ sets and special guests will bring the warmer months to life all week long, in partnership with Alex Effe and Alessandro Capasso. Expect Brazilian brio with Rio Grande on Tuesday nights, Latin Wednesdays with Perreo en Villa and Post Office Thursdays, while Fridays celebrate the Noughties and Saturdays are a mash-up. Book presentations, cultural talks and social issues continue to be a big thing at Villa Vittoria throughout the summer, helmed by Giovanni Fittante alongside Lorenzo Becattini, president of Firenze Fiera, and Cosimo Ceccuti, president of Fondazione Spadolini Nuova Antologia.

New look for 2023

What makes Villa Vittoria so special is its singular sense of style. This year’s concept “EVVIVA L’ESTATE” (Here comes the summer!) was ideated by Turin- and Florence-based communication agency Instant Love, while Fabio Madiai and CanyaLab came up with the stunning design, adding elegant eastern flourishes, from the signature steps to the photo wall.
