Sayaka Alessandra, Youtube’s most subscribed female singer in Italy, was born in Rome, from a Sicilian mother and Japanese father.
She has a B.A. in Media and Communication from The American University of Rome. In 2005 she worked for SKY ITALIA’s SAT 2000 channel hosting “Un Viaggio Nel Tempo…con Sayaka Sato”, (Travelling in Time with Sayaka Sato) a daily live show in which she introduced customs and traditions of different countries of the world, using her knowledge of Italian, Japanese and English languages.
She started uploading videos on Youtube in 2008 and quickly became very popular around the world.
Sayaka sings jazz, soul and r&b of the 40s, 50s and 60s, often accompanying herself with the guitar.
In June 2009 she participated at the Festival di Castrocaro. In August 2009, after winning a singing competition in Sicily, she was invited to sing as special guest in the beauty pageants Bellezze d’Italia in Alcamo, Città del Mare, Mazara del Vallo. She has sung at charity concerts, and at other various events.
