GUIDED TOUR/VISIT/ Crazy for Pazzi tour

Who were the Pazzi family and why is their chapel special? When the bells toll 6pm and the church doors close, we’ll learn about the history of this architectural landmark and about the restoration scheduled for its loggia, for which Santa Croce is running a Kickstarter campaign.

Organised by Oxfam Italia, the closing event of the Balkan film festival takes place in Flog with an evening of Balkan musical fun. The main act, Divanhana, perform pieces which combine traditional Bosnian music with undertones of soul. The group come from Sarajevo and have performed worldwide. Alongside Divanhana, the Baro Drom Orkestar will also take to the stage, with a vast mix of styles, which they describe as ‘GipsyKlezmer&BalkanTarantelle’. Get your dancing shoes ready and head along for some Balkan beats. www.flog.it

It’s the turn of LGBTIQ cinema to stand in the spotlight with the Florence Queer Festival. In collaboration with the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights Europe, documentaries and other films focused on the issue of human rights are shown.
