Pietro Benvenuti was one of the most important Tuscan artists during the years between the neoclassical and romantic movements. A student at Florence’s Accademia delle Belle Arti, he completed his studies in Rome. The exhibition illustrates Benvenuti’s artistic history through a look at his most significant works commissioned by Napoleon and the Lorena court.
