The Social Hub (viale Spartaco Lavagnini 70) is currently hosting an immersive art experience, the likes of which can be found nowhere else in Florence. The venue’s downstairs auditorium has been transformed for Neon Brush, with ultra-violet lights, speakers, easels and canvases that participants can use to create their own fluorescent masterpieces that glow under the black lights.

For a 90-minute slot, budding artists can use neon-coloured paints to decorate their canvases whichever way they choose. No artistic experience is necessary; this is an opportunity to let the creative juices flow. All materials, including paints, canvases, brushes, sponges and an apron to protect clothing are supplied, and your artwork is yours to take home. The real masterpiece is seen under the UV lights, however, which make the colours pop in a way that would be invisible under daylight conditions.

The music and atmosphere make it a chance to let loose while getting creative, and each ticket is accompanied by free drink, alcoholic or otherwise, which can be collected from the bar on the ground floor. Tickets can be booked for a range of time slots on Saturdays and Sundays, via the online booking service FeverUp. Tickets cost 37 euro, and guests must be at least 18 years old.
