A spectacular
collection of among the greatest masterpieces by the Ghirlandaio
clan, from progenitor Domenico and brothers David and Benedetto, to
son Ridolfo and the group of students that grew over the years in the
family workshop, a studio that lasted nearly a century between the
1450s and 1550s. The exhibition’s main headquarters are at
Castello dell’Acciaolo, in Scandicci, but the entire exhibition
spans various locations nearby, including palazzo Medici Riccardi and
Museo degli Innocenti in Florence proper, Badia di San Savatore e San
Lorenzo a Settimo in Scandicci, and Museo di Arte Sacra di San
Donnino in Campi Bisenzio.
