With 13 concerts in 12 different Tuscan cities, this year’s Tuscany
Gospel Festival promises to be the best yet.

A one-of-a kind in Italy, the Tuscany Gospel Festival fosters relations
between different nationalities and introduces an important part of American
culture to Tuscany. For the first time, the U.S. Consulate in Florence is
participating as the official sponsor of the festival this year.

The concerts, which began on December 8 in Lastra Signa, are held in
churches and theatres around Tuscany with performances by some of today’s most
famous gospel groups. Concerts will continue through the holiday season until
January 1, 2012.

Many events are free thanks to the support and generosity of several
local institutions and associations, including the Tuscan Region, Arezzo Town
Council and other town councils, as well as private sponsors such as Unicoop
Firenze and Caffè River Spa. For the full calendar, see www.toscanagospelfestival.net.
