On Saturday, March 8, International Women’s Day, Florence celebrates with free entrance for all women, all day long, to all the city’s civic museums. Without reservation, it will be possible to visit Palazzo Vecchio (9-7pm); The Stefano Bardini museum (via dei Renai 37, from 11-5pm); the Salvatore Romano museum (piazza Santo Spirito 29, from 10-4pm); and Santa Maria Novella (current entrance at piazza Stazione 4, from 9-5pm).
Free reservation is however necessary in order to visit the Arnolfo Tower of Palazzo Veccchio (from 10-5pm with last entry at 4.30pm); and to the Branacci Chapel (piazza del Carmine 14, from 10-5pm, with last entry at 4.20pm). Entrance, for women, is still free!
