The exhibition Feet Don’t Bear Arms came about as a result of a collaboration between the Bloomsbury Group, a team of former colleagues based in Florence and the Rondine Citadel of Peace student hall of residence.

It takes as its subject female feet and, drawing from a deep well that never runs dry, is committed to empathy, putting yourself in someone else’s shoes, and to understanding the issues surrounding international conflict.

The feet in the photographs belong to female students at Rondine, the hall of residence that plays host to young people from countries torn by conflict, confident that the steps they are taking will pave the way for peace to become a reality.

The works are for sale with proceeds going to the nonprofit Rondine Citadel of Peace.

The exhibition runs throughout the month of October.

The Rondine Cittadella della Pace nonprofit association, Arezzo, with its daily peace promotion through hosting young students from conflict zones such as Russia and the Caucasus, the Balkans, the Middle East and Africa, was recently nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
