Two sisters, Tessa and Arianna Moroder, both in their thirties, have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds needed to purchase equipment for their new textile design workshop in Prato’s Macrolottozero area.

Opening in May 2016, Lottozero/textile laboratories (www.lottozero.org) aims to be a shared space, open to local and international designers, dedicated to research, experimentation, prototyping and the exchange of information in the textile sector. Inside the center, there’ll also be an exhibition space for shows and events as well as coworking studios.

Those who pledge funds to the crowdfunding campaign will receive as a reward a silk scarf bearing prints inspired by Tuscany’s monumental facades, such as Florence Baptistery, the church of San Miniato al Monte and Prato Cathedral. Other rewards include greeting cards with Verde di Prato graphics, a cotton satchel, vegetarian dinners in the Lottozero space, and exclusive use of the Lottozero laboratory, dark room or coworking space.

The campaign will continue until March 22 at www.theflr.net/lottozero.
