Relive your grunge days (or discover them for the first time) through 80 photographs by Charles Peterson and Michael Lavine, famed photographers who followed the legendary Nirvana founder-frontman through to his final days. The undisputed hero of the Grunge era continues to have a communicative effect, even twenty-six years after his death. The photographs at Palazzo Medici Riccardi also document American counterculture of the '90s, the time following the Cold War and preceding the New Economy. Other players on the Grunge scene also feature with Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Mudhoney alongside Cobain and his wife Courtney Love, symbols of an era.

Sustainability and food is on everyone’s lips. Eating needs to be ecological in our current endangered environment. Knowing that what we put into our bodies has come from a local, and eco-respectful place is a small way to contribute to the well-being of our world. This three-day Firenze bio festival brings our attention to the issue and informs us of the means to generate change across agroecology to ensure a healthier future. Open 10am-7pm, this free entry fair features workshops, talks, and activities for schools for a greener, cleaner globe.
