Tucked away on via dei Fossi in Florence’s historic center, LOVE TEDICI is a destination for discerning pet owners seeking Italian craftsmanship with a contemporary, sustainable ethos. Named for the boutique’s resident “welcomer-in-chief,” Ted, and Florence’s storied Medici family, the brand brings Florentine heritage into modern pet luxury, from handcrafted leather carriers and accessories to Murano glass bowls, everyday essentials and made-to-measure couture.

Following the launch of its Hotel Collection, celebrated at an event attended by figures from Florence’s hospitality and wedding sectors, LOVE TEDICI is unveiling new collections reflecting growing demand for luxury experiences designed around traveling with pets.
The Hotel Collection
Perhaps its most revolutionary development, the Hotel Collection is designed for luxury hotels and private residences. Custom-made beds and chaise longues are manufactured in LOVE TEDICI’s Milan workshop using IM1-certified upholstery fabrics and Italian pebble-grain aniline leather. Unlike conventional pet beds, these are designed as genuine furniture rather than oversized cushions. Every piece of furniture is made to order, with clients selecting from a color palette to customize leather and washable upholstery fabrics, with dimensions tailored to individual interiors and pets. Removable covers can be dry-cleaned, making the collection practical for luxury hospitality as well as at-home use.
“Right now, the pet bed market is comprised mainly of floor pillows, which lack supportive structure. They’re hard to clean and generally unhygienic, especially in the hotel sector—between guest stays and by virtue of living on the floor. Quality sleep and a fresh bed are so important, and our pets deserve it,” comments owner Aimee. The collection also addresses the finer details of the luxury pet experience. Hotels can commission customized pet bathrobes and towels featuring their own branding, creating a fully considered welcome for four-legged guests. “What’s more, they’re very appealing as a take-home item, so hotels may consider adding them to their in-room price list, not only as an amenity, but as a way for guests to take a little piece of the hotel experience with them. That high-touch branding has value,” Aimee says. Extending that same luxury to pet owners, LOVE TEDICI bathrobes and towels can be personalized same-day with their pet’s name embroidered into the design, either online or directly at the boutique. “Pets are increasingly viewed as members of the family and, as such, the demands and expectations of those traveling with their pets, particularly within the luxury sector, are high and rapidly evolving.” Guests increasingly expect designated beds, bowls, bathrobes and towels, while pet-friendly dining is becoming part of the equation.
At the Hotel Collection launch, David Bonissone, from the five-star pet-friendly hotel Palazzo Portinari Salviati and Florence’s one-Michelin-starred restaurant Atto by Vito Mollica, noted increasing requests from guests wanting their pets to join them for dinner.
For Aimee, the chaise longue offers a stylish solution. Customized to complement restaurants, bars and lounges, it can be stored away and brought out when needed. Like an ottoman offered for a handbag at a fine-dining establishment, it gives small pets a designated space while protecting existing furniture.
“A few years from now, being offered a chaise longue for your pet at a hotel bar or fine-dining establishment will just be the norm,” Aimee predicts.
Made-to-measure clothing + wedding couture
LOVE TEDICI’s Wedding, Gala & Special Events Collection caters to weddings and celebrations where pets increasingly take center stage. Alongside ready-to-wear pieces and everyday essentials such as hoodies and raincoats, the atelier specializes in bespoke garments designed to complement the occasion. Consultations can take place remotely via FaceTime or email, with just a handful of measurements required to commission a made-to-measure outfit before arriving in Italy or have it shipped directly to the destination.

Co-designed by Parsons School of Design graduate Alli Toffolon and the head of LOVE TEDICI’s in-house atelier, the collection includes tuxedos, lace and silk taffeta capelets made from premium Italian fabrics, alongside other couture and ready-to-wear pieces.
Slow fashion for four-legged companions
“The philosophy behind the brand is that true luxury should be sustainable and timeless,” says Aimee. “Timelessness is the beating heart of slow fashion.” The brand’s commitment to Italian craftsmanship is consistent throughout every collection. The Murano food and water bowls are individually hand-blown by master glassmakers in Venice using techniques passed down through generations. The bowls can be paired with alabaster stands, while the brand also offers bespoke alabaster sculptures of pets, hand-carved by master artisans in the Tuscan countryside. Even the signature travel carrier reflects this approach, having gone through 12 prototypes over four years before being finalized, with Ted serving as chief product tester during travels through 16 countries.
In a city celebrated for preserving its artistic traditions, LOVE TEDICI is proving that those traditions can find unexpected new life—even on four legs.
