Tuscany’s
latest television news program speaks six languages, with subtitles in Italian.
Called TSD Week World, the program is broadcast every Saturday at 8:30pm (with
repeats at 11:50pm; Sundays at 9:45am and 11:50pm) by Arezzo’s Telesandomenico
television network, run by the local diocese, can be seen online at
www.telesandomenico.it. TSD Week World is one of few news programs in Italy
broadcast in a foreign language. Students from Arezzo’s high schools of
non-Italian origin present local, national and international news in their
mother tongues. Following Prato and Florence, Arezzo boasts Tuscany’s third
largest foreign-born population, with approximately 33,000 non-Italians from
more than 100 countries.
