As part of the 74th International Handcraft Fair (ART) at the Fortezza da Basso, two free workshops will introduce children to the artisan trades. Called Artisans in the Family, the workshops are organized by the Horne Museum of Florence. Each workshop is open to a maximum of 25 children, ages 8 to 13. Gold and Colours (techniques in gilding) will be held on April 30 from 4pm to 5:30pm and 6pm to 7:30pm. Marvels of the Land: Handling the Clay from the Crete Senese will be held on May 1 from 10am to 11:30am and noon to 1:30pm. Parents may join their children during the workshops.
