Did you know that Florence has a long history of
gelato making? The owners of one of Florence’s most historic gelaterias, Perché
No!, have teamed up with the Florence chapter of UNESCO (ONLUS) to offer an
exciting look at the process of making gelato, learning about the history of
gelato and tasting different flavors. Through this event, Perché No! will help
the Florence chapter of UNESCO fulfill its mission to conserve local traditions
while also sustaining international cooperation and development. Every morning
before the shop opens at about 11am, Perché No! will offer groups (RSVP
required) an exciting gelato experience, teaching them how gelato is made and
allowing them to explore different flavours.
