Looking for an artisan in Tuscany? Using GPS technology, anyone can now find over 300 artisan workshops throughout the region. In conjunction with Google, the workshops of engravers, woodworkers, silverware makers, frame makers, goldsmiths and more have been plotted on Google maps along with a host of special itineraries that focus on specific points of interest.

Created by the Centre for Artistic Artisan Products in Tuscany (Artex), the maps and itineraries offer travellers a visit that differs from the region’s major monuments, museums and sights.

Users can download maps and personalize itineraries at www.collezionitoscane.it. The site offers additional information on the 300 artisans showcased and allows users to book guided tours, in English and Italian, for small groups.
