Happy New Year…again?

Don’t worry, Florence isn’t three months behind!

March 25 marks the historical start of the Tuscan New Year, nine months before Christmas Day.

At 2.45pm, watch the colourful procession wind its way through the city centre, from the Palagio di Parte Guelfa to SS. Annunziata church.

The Lions Club Florence Cosimo de’ Medici present a charity Florentine New Year concert at 9pm at Villa Montalto, via del Salviatino 6. For 25 euro, enjoy an evening listening to piano trio Yehezkel Yerushalmi, George Georgescu and Dalida Jacono perform Beethoven and Smetana; phone 339 4778069 for more information.
