The Tuscan Region is offering help to young adults in Tuscany working to establish financial and residential independence.
The program, part of the larger Giovanisì initiative, provides grants towards rent of their primary residence. The program is open to those who have been residents in Tuscany for at least two years and are between the ages of 18 and 34. Applications, which may be submitted by individuals, couples or groups, are due on January 31.
The application requires a financial situation index (ISEE) of applicants’ families, including parents and close relatives, whose annual income may not exceed 40,000 euro. Qualifying applicants may be awarded grants ranging from 1,800 to 4,200 euro annually (150 to 350 euro per month). To be eligible, applicants’ income must not exceed 35,000 euro for individuals, 45,000 for couples and 55,000 for groups of three or more.
The Giovanisì program, designed to help residents of the Tuscan Region overcome the difficulties of the current economic crisis, invests in the independence, entrepreneurship and leadership of the Region’s young people.
