Remember your New Year’s resolution to ease up on the pasta? (It was ours, too). We’ve all probably over-indulged in cold-weather comfort food since then, so come and sample some tasty but healthy springtime treats at The Diner. Chat with The Florentine staff and enjoy fresh fruit and veggie juices. After sipping on delicious centrifughe, dig in to a decadent mini-burger buffet (come on, we can’t be too virtuous.)

This Sunday, exactly one week after International Women’s Day, the celebrations and conversations will still be going strong. Head to Caffe’ Letterario Le Murate for a special screening of the short documentary Rename, Reclaim: Women in Italian Streets (Strade: Femminile Plurale), produced by the Rete 13 Febbraio women’s network in Pistoia and recently subtitled in English. The film invites reflection on the nature of women’s presence—and absence—in all aspects of Italian life. Following the film, conversations and presentations will take place in both English and Italian.johnhooper
