Tuscany’s largest spa Asmana Wellness World has joined forces with the Italian Association of Saunas and Aufguss (AISA – Associazione Italiana Saune & Aufguss) to promote good health, wellbeing and relaxation.
At a press conference held on January 30, 2016, Asmana Wellness World staff presented the benefits of Aufguss alongside leading experts in the field.
Aufguss (meaning “to pour over”) is a purification and meditation technique that is performed in a sauna, either by an employee of the wellness centre or by an expert known as an aufgussmeister (steam master). Commonplace in Northern Europe, Aufguss is becoming popular in Italy thanks to the work of AISA.
At the press conference the Second Italian Aufguss Championships were also presented, allowing aufgussmeisters to qualify for the World Aufguss Championships WM 2016.
