The International School of Florence held its annual philanthropic gala on May 12 at former train station turned leading events venue Stazione Leopolda.

The theme for this year’s gala was Around the World in 70 Years, celebrating the school’s 70th anniversary and its international student and parent body. The elegant evening featured gourmet food and wine produced by local growers in Tuscany and was well attended by 350 members of the ISF community.

An online and live auction, including overseas experiences and fine dining, featured lots donated generously by sponsors in and around Florence. Proceeds will be donated to the new ISF Development Fund, which improves the learning environment for students as well as a portion of the proceeds going to the Meyer Children’s Hospital.

Legendary DJ Mousse T, best known for his 2000 collaboration with Tom Jones’s Sex Bomb, performed live on the night, keeping guests on the dance floor until the early hours of the morning. The event was made possible by the tireless work of the Gala Parent Committee.
