The 105th edition of the twice-yearly men’s fashion trade fair Pitti Uomo returns to Florence this January 9 to 12.

Trendsetters are welcomed to the Fortezza da Basso conference centre by a ticking clock art installation by Angelo Ficus, which embodies this edition’s theme of Pitti Time. 832 international and Italian brands line the halls with their latest and forthcoming collections, while the dandy and daring hover by the pavilion to be captured by the global press. Highlights include Julian Daynov’s special project Neudeutsch showcasing new wave design from Germany and the Super-Styling vintage and circular fashion hub.

Over on the west side of Florence, the public can enjoy a preview of Polimoda’s future fashion repository. AN/ARCHIVE EVENT ONE offers a contemplative journey through the interpretation of the body in fashion with garments from the A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage Archive and a mannequin-centric art exhibition with works by Minna Palmqvist, William Forsythe and Sissel Tolaas.
