The Oblate Sisters of the Assumption
The peaceful guest spaces and beautiful Italian Renaissance garden of The Oblate Sisters of the Assumption (borgo Pinti 15) offer an oasis in the city centre, with the typical Florentine entrance opening onto grand spaces. With Mass held every day at 7.15am and Sunday at 11am, the Medici-era building has pillars and cross-vault arcades, adding architectural interest. The funds that come from stays go towards benefitting apostolic work, with breakfast served and children welcome.
Antica Dimora Sant’Anna
Antica Dimora Sant’Anna (via della Fortezza 13), a historic residence in the city centre managed by the Franciscan sisters of Saint Elizabeth is just 200 metres from the train station, making it easily accessible for trips to Rome if attending the Jubilee. Nineteen rooms are each equipped with a private bathroom as a chapel and inner courtyard add to the sense of serenity.
Casa Santo Nome Gesù
Known as Palazzo Rospigliosi-Pallavicini and originally owned by Messer Arrigo Michele di Gardo, Casa Santo Nome di Gesù (piazza del Carmine 21), the building connected to the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary provides 24-hour reception with a lounge and garden for relaxing surroundings in a central location. With multilingual staff and meeting rooms, the centre becomes multifunctional.
