For the first time in Italy, a wine auction has been organized exclusively with over 500 bottles of Brunello di Montalcino, and  the prestigious Tuscan red is up for bids. The Florence-based Pandolfini Auction House will raise funds for the restoration of the Chiesa di Santa Croce, one of the oldest and most renowned churches in Florence. Considered by many experts to be one of the best wines in the world, the Brunello is being donated by leading wine producers and collectors.
