The famous French actor Gerard Depardieu assaulted Tuscan photographer Dario Orlandi on Monday, hitting him in the face with his head. Depardieu, sighted on a shopping spree in Florence in the company of a young woman, apparently  did not appreciate Orlandi’s flash photographs and attacked him near the Medici chapels. “I don’t know what happened,” declared Orlandi who has already hired lawyer Alessandro Ramerini to file a lawsuit against the actor. “At San Lorenzo, many people recognized him and took pictures. I followed him but kept my distance, “ the photographer explained, “When I arrived at the entrance of the Chapels he motioned for me to come closer. Just a few minutes before he had made a face at me, indicating that I should leave.” The Tuscan photographer Dario Orlandi ended up in the hospital in Santa Novella’s emergency room, where he was diagnosed with an edema.
