The Florentine and Opera di Santa Croce hit the internet the other night to have a Twitter Chat about the Church of Santa Croce and the Pazzi Chapel. We were interested in getting peoples’ reactions to these spaces, as well as answering questions about the crowdfunding campaign that’s running on Kickstarter for the restoratinon of the loggia of the Pazzi Chapel.

The results were surprising: In the hour long conversation on Monday November 24, 2014, there were 69 contributors, or tweeters who chimed in. Together we produced about 150 tweets, between questions, answers and retweets. This adds to the general impact of the #crazyforpazzi hashtag online, which has already generated a reach of almost a million Twitter users. (The image below is from tweetbinder.)

Below is a Storify that summarizes the discussion that took place. The conversation is still open – tweet anything you want to @santacroceopera or @theflorentine using the hashtag #CrazyforPazzi and we’ll get back to you!
