Once it completes construction, design school Polimoda will move from via di Soffiano in Florence to Scandicci.

Work is currently under way with space for training and design scheduled to be finished by May 15 and be in use by December.

The new building, which measures 3,150 square metres, is on two levels. The ground floor will include a business incubator area, six small atelier areas for displaying collections and developing projects to businesses and the public and areas for technical services and storage. The first floor will be used for teaching.

Polimoda is splitting the cost of the project, nearly three million euro, with the Tuscan Region, which is providing supporting through European Union project funds.
