From July 26
to August 2, 10 young students were in Florence as part of an international art
excursion, organized by the Frank Ski Foundation.

It was a special opportunity for the kids. Ski,
morning DJ of Atlanta, Georgia’s most popular radio station, V103, started the
Frank Ski Kids Foundation in 2000 to help
disadvantaged youth by showing examples and providing hands-on
opportunities to promote optimal growth, self-expression, ingenuity,
achievement and learning vital to their ambitions. These children, according to
Ski, are not underprivileged, but rather, have fewer opportunities to shine.

While in Tuscany, the students explored their
artistic sides by studying under local experts and visiting museums and
monuments in San Gimignano, Siena, Pisa, and Lucca as well as Florence.
