Youre always trying to break up with me and were not even
together, says life-saving terminally upbeat flight attendant Claire (kooky
Kirsten Dunst) to suicidal shoe designer Drew (bland Orlando Bloom) some way
into their relationship, having first met on a flight as he is called to attend
his fathers funeral and preside over the family homecoming. Cameron Crowes
sentimental romantic comedy drama Elizabethtown
suffers from laughably implausible characters and situations (Susan Sarandon as
Drews mom is appalling), but perhaps the piece is just about held together by
Crowes impeccably chosen soundtrack. Probably the worst movie of 2005. A bona fide, absolute,
unmitigated fiasco. (Rick Groen, Toronto
